her scrapbook...

i started a simple scrapbook for natalie to do. now that she is older, i think it's a wonderful visual diary of what her childhood is and will be. i let her decide what she wants to put in there, with a little additional help from myself. in years to come, i hope this will be a wonderful book filled with valuable memories:

the cover, just a simple red composition book

nat modeling with one of our favorite pages (this was done last fall, during a walk, we collected a few things and combined them here with her colorings of wallace and grommit).

a collection of costumes natalie likes.

showcasing two pages, both from different sunday school activities

the record of when she got her ears (re)pierced.

a drawing and explanation of a princess she drew.

petals from my tulips

drawings from our bug hunt on friday

i love this scrapbook of hers and want to continue to make these books with her over the years. as for me, i've started drawing again, here is my most recent item i am working on:

welcome brobee!

natalie and brobee!

so, we have a rabbit now :) natalie just got back not too long ago with my parents and a little gray and white surprise for us: brobee, her new dwarf rabbit. first, i must say this rabbit is darn cute! she named it brobee after one of the yo gabba gabba characters which i thought was quite cute. she's been wanting a rabbit ever since the first time we "bunny" sat her class rabbit she named hermione. actually, hermione is with us this weekend as well but we have not introduced the two since little brobee is still acclimating to his new environment (and yes, it's a he, we know for sure).

right now nat and my parents went out to eat and brobee is in a little open box until we get a nice little place for him to settle in. i'm watching the dodger game and poor jimenez (from the colorado rockies) has thrown some crazy pitches but it's good for us because we leading 6 to 3 at the end of the third inning. woo-hoo!!

go dodgers!

last night's game was fantastic! it was the first time that just the three of us went to game and we went on the right now! the weather was beautiful, nat received her russel martin batting practice jersey replica and the dodgers won, beating the padres 11 to 1!! the game was filled with high energy! we had three home runs, 13 base hits and even derek lowe had an amazing night with his 3 RBI's!! i had so much fun too, saying things to rick like "i wonder where alyssa (milano) sits" and "i am in the same stadium as joe torre"! oh, and even jackie chan was there to throw the first pitch! good times! and though i may never get to look like alyssa milano (or see her at a game for that matter), i still do want one of her touch shirts to wear to a game next time...with that said, a few more pictures from the night...

there's jackie chan by the pitcher's mound...
